Dr. Ravi Pachamoothoo is the Chairman of SRM Group, one of India’s most reputed educational institutions. He is the son of Dr. T. R. Paarivendhar, Founder and Chancellor of SRM Institute of Science and Technology, an eminent educationist, philanthropist, and industrialist.
His mother, Smt. P. Easwari, is an educationist and the Treasurer of the Valliammai Society, which aims to establish and promote educational institutions. A Post Graduate in Literature, Dr. Ravi Pachamoothoo holds responsibility for SRM Group’s corporate functions including Finance, Strategy Management, Business Planning, Resource Optimization, and Innovation. He is widely recognized as a successful edupreneur, industrialist, and philanthropist.

Dr. Ravi Pachamoothoo is an avid traveller who enjoys exploring different parts of the world. His travels allow him to observe and understand the functioning of industries and enterprises globally. The insights gained from these experiences help him incorporate innovative ideas into the Group’s activities, enabling them to remain leaders in the field of education.
He is known for his visionary leadership and entrepreneurial mindset. With a remarkable ability to transform every venture he undertakes, he has successfully guided several initiatives within the SRM Group. He is well connected across India, enjoys meeting people, and actively mentors young entrepreneurs.
Awards and Accolades
In recognition of his outstanding contribution to the fields of Education, Hospitality, and Healthcare Services, Dr. Ravi Pachamoothoo received the “Lifetime Achievement Award 2021” from the Rotary Club of Maraimalai Nagar.
The World Tamil Organization (UK) and its partner organizations honoured him with the “Lifetime Achievement Award in Medicine” in 2019 for his lifelong commitment to building better healthcare and promoting innovation in health technology through leadership, sustainability, ethics, and corporate governance.
He has also been conferred the prestigious “Dharma Dharana Award” by Sudesi, an international magazine, for his contributions to society.
Earlier, he was honoured with the “Education Excellence Award” by Brands Academy in 2012.
